Cape Comorin is a place where the three coincide like the trinity and they being the Arabian Sea, the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean. There’s rock in the middle of the sea which has mystical and saintly connotations. It was a rock on which world renowned Swami Vivekanand used to swim to and have a meditation. I experienced the pleasure akin to reading of metaphors in a new novel when I stood on the shores of Cape Comorin and watched the sea lashing its spume on to the rocks. As I proceeded on the rock, I was filled with the sumptuous banquet of nature’s poetry, the waves striking on the sides of the boat like the singing of the mermaid. As I reached the rock, and when I started standing on it, I felt like being on the remnant of a sunken continent, the Atlantis. Cape Comorin is vivid to my mind in ecstasy of nature and wakes my mind with nostalgic poetry.
